İstanbul Ağaç, Peyzaj, Eğitim Hizmetleri ve Hayvanat Bahçesi İşletmeciliği Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (AĞAÇ AŞ) (Istanbul Trees, Landscaping, Training Services, and Zoo Operations Inc. Co.) was established at the date of 04 August 1997 as a company to operate under the supervision of Resource Development and Investments Department by the Metropolitan City Municipality of Istanbul and some of the other companies operating under the control of the Metropolitan City Municipality of Istanbul.

THe purpose for establishing AĞAÇ AŞ was to arrange the parks, gardens, environment, and to plant and grow trees in the environment; and in addition to that, the company has some other objectives such as growing plants, buying plants frrom the growers and develop and improve them (they are obtained frrom the growers together with their roots and the soil around the roots and then their branches are cut back, and are given form, etc.). Also the company´s other objectives include production of soil mixture materials, and prepare projects for all these objectives and put them into application.

Thanks to its operations carried out with great care, the company has become a leading one in its sector; and by enhancing the quality and Standard of the plants processed by the company, the company has provided large green areas in the city by supplying high quality plants.
